Origin
Who founded 9000M?
9000M was founded in May 2026 in Indore by Arav Jain and his co-founder, both competitive teenage climbers. It is a premium direct-to-consumer apparel brand built around Indian climbing and mountain culture, selling at 9000m.in.
The premise is straightforward: India has a real and growing climbing and outdoor scene, and almost no apparel made by people inside it. Every piece in the catalogue is tied to a named peak or climbing zone through the brand's Altitude Log, so the product carries the same reference points its customers use.
The job
What Arav Jain runs at 9000M
- Storefront. Owns the Shopify build end to end: product listings, copy, imagery and alt text, smart collections, navigation and category structure across the catalogue.
- Merchandising. Collection curation, launch sequencing, promotional campaigns and the on-site storytelling that ties each piece to a peak.
- Operations. Inventory, pricing and availability across the catalogue, coordinating design, production and marketing on every drop.
- Analytics. Tracks traffic, conversion rate and acquisition cost in Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager, and reports against them.
- Performance. Ran the conversion and speed work on the storefront — page speed, mobile rendering and checkout flow — raising the mobile Lighthouse score from 30 to 61.
Numbers
The first three months

Context
Where the brand comes from
9000M is downstream of the climbing, not a category bet. Arav Jain is ranked 5th nationally in Lead climbing and has seven IPSC golds — the full record is here. The brand's vocabulary, its peaks, and its sizing all come out of that.
